Superhighways vs Country Roads

The more we think, feel or do something with repetition,

We create neural pathways in our brains.

Because our brains are wired to be efficient.

They will automate the things we repeat.

These are our habits.

Habits can seem difficult to change because… 

Our brains like what is familiar and what is easy. 

Changing a habit is possible, and it's easier if we understand what we are doing. 

Below are some specific tools you can start using today to change any habit. 

1. Be aware of the behavior, thought or feeling you want to change when it pops up. 

2. When it pops up, start some form of self-directly neuroplasticity: passing an object from one hand to another, crossing the midline of the body aka bilateral stimulation, Faster EFT, change your posture, or shaking your body (Think Taylor Swift) for 30-90 seconds. 

These tools will stop the superhighways and start building new country roads, which eventually become your new superhighways. 

Choosing what you want on purpose makes the roads you are building priceless.
