High 5 Your Heart

Every Monday morning at 9am MDT I host an online book club. 

We are currently studying and discussing "The High 5 Habit" by Mel Robbins.

This week I incorporated Mel's practice of high-fiving my heart.

It goes like this: Put your hand(s) over your heart and say "I am okay. I am safe. I am loved." 

Yesterday morning I said those words, but I didn't quite believe them.

So I changed them just a little bit and said,

"I might be okay. I might be safe. I might be loved."

As I said those words, I was flooded with a warm feeling. 

The change was subtle, but the effect was profound.

Some days it's hard for me to believe and other days it's not.

When we try to believe something we don't, nothing changes, or worse, it backfires on us and we think thought work isn't effective.

But it is!

Using ladder thoughts like

"It might be possible.... or I might be....." to crack the door open will let the light in.

High 5 your heart today.

You've got nothing to lose.
