You are the Creator of Your Life
Had a good talk today with a woman that has spent much of her life in a wheelchair.
She told me how she chooses each day to be happy and focus on the good things in her life, even when her wheelchair hits a water-filled pothole.
She doesn't deny her feelings, yet she doesn't talk about them very often with people outside of her immediate family. She looks for the positive things to focus on.
We are the creators of our lives. We can choose how we want to think about our difficult circumstances and trials in life.
I teach my clients HOW to do this. It brings me great joy to watch people let go of what they have no control over and take more control of what they do. It requires awareness, patience and practice.
“As long as you think that the cause of your problem is “out there”—as long as you think that anyone or anything is responsible for your suffering—the situation is hopeless. It means that you are forever in the role of victim, that you’re suffering in paradise.”
