You've Got Me Feelin' Emotions

Over the past year I have been studying emotions in more depth.

As you may know, I’m certified in Emotion Code and often use this modality to help my clients find and release their trapped emotions.

What I have learned recently takes my work to a deeper level.

How?

While studying “Permission to Feel” by Dr. Mark Brackett, I learned to identify not only the primary emotion, but also the ones that are associated with it. Dr. Brene Brown has taught me that naming the emotion properly makes a dramatic difference.

STORY

A mom brought her “angry” ten-year-old son to see me. She said he was having outbursts of anger on the regular and it was upsetting the whole family. 

When I muscle tested to find his emotions, it was a combination of two.

Indecisive and Panic.

Turns out he wasn’t angry after all. He panicked when he had to decide something.

His “anger” outbursts changed dramatically after that session.

Naming his emotions, as well as understanding what was happening made all the difference for this young man and his family.
