So many of us carry two beliefs that keep us stuck: It’s too late for me and this restlessness means I’m doing something wrong.
But what if both of those beliefs are lies?
It’s Not Too Late
I used to think the best years had passed me by. I’d compare myself to younger people who had already finished school or launched their careers, and shame whispered: You missed your window.
The truth is, starting later often means starting with clarity and wisdom. Adults learn and heal quickly because our experiences give depth and context. You’re not behind. You’re exactly where you need to be.
The Restlessness
Restlessness can feel like failure — but often it’s the body and soul signaling readiness for growth. When I was recovering from being sick recently, my body needed rest, but my mind was buzzing with restlessness. Instead of fighting it, I paused to listen. Restlessness wasn’t shame. It was a nudge.
The Shift
What if we saw both shame (“I’m too late”) and restlessness (“I’m doing it wrong”) as invitations instead of failures? What if they were signals that it’s time to begin again, right where you are?
It’s not too late. You’re not behind. You didn’t miss the memo. And your restlessness might just be pointing you toward alignment.
